Live From Future Hell was founded in 2020 after the wrap up of the former project/group/entertainmenthellscape The Nerdfit Network (or Nerdfit for short). Future Hell (easier to say instead of the full name), is a giant collection/internet presence for Erik Ferris and his collection of goofy ideas and rad friends wanting to make things.

But why?

Hi Erik here. This is my web-sight and probably easier to fill in this way. As someone who has been creating dumb things on the internet since the early 90s, I’ve always been driven to be someone who can entertain and help people laugh. Now as of writing this blurb, I’m looking at turning 40 and its a wild thought of how much I have created and built over the years.

Previous projects/dumb ass websites included Fun Ferris World (a pokemon and DBZ fansite hosted on tripod.net/geocities), FateZero & Perfect Chaos (my jump into creating a video game review and news sites), writing for Negative Gamer (a UK gaming site that spun out of Destructoid), hosting a internet pirate radio show titled The WTF Show (and later Alpha Bromega) which pulled in thousands of listeners every month, ProjectFerris (a website that saw me try to poop in all 50 states of the USA), and finally what became The Nerdfit Network with a bunch of friends hosting panels and making dumb ass streams for Anime/Gaming/Sci-Fi conventions/The Internet As A Whole.

This led to some really amazing experiences and stories that sound too absurd to be true, but they all are. Appearances on TechTV/G4, acting in multi-million view music videos, touring the eastern and mid western United States just being goof comedians, meeting people and having fun with folks you never would of thought you would ever cross paths with.

As we all get older though, the grind sucks. Carrying the weight on my shoulders to get people to conventions and events for little to no pay but a promise of a table to sell merch at with a hot dog and a handshake just became too much. Offering always updated content, juggling a merch line to fund this live event chaos as more and more bigger events and conventions would offer less and less because well, we never were a big name celeb or ‘influencer’. It sucked. So in 2020 I said im done.

Fast forward to an older, jaded but smarter (kind of) man. One who doesn’t want to become a big influencer or celeb. I just like to entertain people and make goofy shit with my friends.
